@Buckskin If its a feature you require then it is not available for the EE Smarthub+, if it was on previous equipment you used on a BT/EE service then suggest you return it to use.

@Buckskin  New EE is BT.

EE ruters have been BT based for a few years now.

Unfortunately not. The internet line may still be BT and the original EE router may have been similar to the BT router but the new Smart Hub Plus is EE only and EE programmers are apparently unable to include Dynamic DNS so as suggested I may consider returning it. (I also have a BT Disc extender which obviously wasn't covered with the replacement hub as it doesn't work either)

Just as an FYI if anyone else runs into this 'issue' with no DDNS compared to the BT Smart Hub...  Sure the BT hub will connect and provide DDNS, but the parental and wireless controls are not available through the EE app for the BT router.   You pays your money and you takes your choice!

Not sure anything on the BT Router is available with the EE App. The issue is that I was given no choice on being moved to EE and (apart from being ripped off on loss of benefits) I used the DDNS while I do Not use parental or wireless controls.

@Buckskin Months back, there were OP postings that the BT Smarthub2 had ex BT customers that had managed to connect to the BT router with the EE app, there was reduced functionality at that specific point, but with the EE app CONSTANTLY being updated then something went wrong somewhere along the line, the forum starts to see the issues and complaints but as it is a public forum and not having direct access to everything, relying on feedback is fraught with difficulty....

Same issue here, BT called me and advised me to change to EE

Need the DDNS IP address function, will have to update manually now

Sticking with BT is like death from a thousand cuts

Deleted eMail accounts, web page hosting etc etc

Time to change to another provider
