New BT contract required move to EE resulting in VOIP. DECT phone connected to BT SmartHub2 via green socket and am able to make and receive calls with out problem. However, the answer phone facility no longer functions. How do I know if there're any answer phone messages and how can I check to see if there're any?

Dial 1571. It might also give you the option of lengthening the time calls go to the DV VM so they gat a chance of being caught on your own phone's ansaphone.

@Stewart481 Here also is the link to get you to all the Home Phone info in the help section. You will have to occasionally check the DV Voicemail as it can have a message left as the system is capable of dual independent calls when you are on the phone.

The EE hub IS a DECT base station. I'm so confused as to why EE aren't advertising this. There is no need to plug a DECT phone or base station into the green socket or use the silly Digital Voice Adapters - they're just DECT adapters, they don't use WiFi.
To pair your existing DECT phones with the EE hub, find the 'registration' option in your handset menus. On the EE Hub press the 'wps' button for about 2 seconds (it's dual function for WPS and DECT registration). If your handset asks for a base pin it's 0000.
Your handset should then be registered to the EE Hub.
You can then call 1571 and set your ring time to 'longer'. You then just need to set your answerphone to cut in before the 1571 voicemail. Or you can use 1561 and turn on the option to have it call you when you have a message.

@samfieldhouse : Yes, the EE router incorporates a DECT base station. So any DECT handset can connect to it. But do you get the full functionality of that base station? Either:
- Only certain BT (& EE) digital handsets are fully compatible with full functionality with the router's base station.
- Any other DECT handset will only get basic GAP interoperability functionality from it, while you'll be throwing their full functional base station away which probably has the AnsaPhone.
- Corded handsets won't be availing themselves of the router's base station but will be plugged into its Phone socket or a DVA.
