Connection Issues

Hello friends,

Hoping someone can help me out here?

We recently had our skybroadband replaced with EE fast fibre 300 (or whatever its called).

It had initially been working well the first couple of days with all devices over the WiFi, however, day by day things keep getting disconnected (SKY Q box, smart tvs, tablets) and would reconnect a day or a few hours laster after resetting the device or hub or after reinserting the password into the devices.

Now it's starting to affect my xbox, which i cant have!!!. It usually works just fine with WiFi with no need to an ethernet cable before todays disconnection. So I reset the router and xbox and it connected fine again. I D
did matchmaking for an hour or so then went about my day. Then came back later and the same issue...not connecting, despite all the test etc...

I beleive the problem may be the router settings and all the stuff about 2.4ghz or 5ghz or compatible WiFi etc. See photos.

So my questions is, has anyone ran into a similar problem and can you tell me the fix that doesn't require resetting the hub or devices everytime?

Thanks in advance.

I have a SkyQ connected to my SmartHub Pro by ethernet and when I first got the EE service I had (still have) many problems with the WiFi and one of them was caused by the SkyQ box trying to act as a Wireless Access Point and clashing with the EE based WiFi. As I had no need for WiFi on my SkyQ, I went into the secret/service menu on the SkyQ box and turned off the WiFi access points. For me that worked but as you are trying to connect your SkyQ by WiFi, that may not work for you.

So the Q box was connected by wifi but dropped every so often which Is why I moved my own tp link extender closer to it to then use an ethernet plug to connect the two. So as far as the Qbox was concerned it was only connected by ethernet. But the problems persist.

It's irrelevant! You don't have any EE Smart WiFi extender, so there is nowt to match with your EE Smart Hub 7 Plus. You just have a TP-Link Powerline WiFi extender.

Sorry, what does that mean? It shouldn't matter? What is the issue in your opinion given all the above?

@UniqNo You are just going to have to go back to a basic setup wither you like it or not, that is just the EE Smart Hub 7 Plus by itself doing everything for wired/wireless wifi connection and your sky Q off, the tp link extender off and ANY other source of wifi transmitting node device off....

If you cannot or do not want to do that then call EE CS and have them organise a Guide Visit for you, the guide should have the expertise to look at what you have and see what is going on, that may be your best option currently!
