Hello friends,
Hoping someone can help me out here?
We recently had our skybroadband replaced with EE fast fibre 300 (or whatever its called).
It had initially been working well the first couple of days with all devices over the WiFi, however, day by day things keep getting disconnected (SKY Q box, smart tvs, tablets) and would reconnect a day or a few hours laster after resetting the device or hub or after reinserting the password into the devices.
Now it's starting to affect my xbox, which i cant have!!!. It usually works just fine with WiFi with no need to an ethernet cable before todays disconnection. So I reset the router and xbox and it connected fine again. I D
did matchmaking for an hour or so then went about my day. Then came back later and the same issue...not connecting, despite all the test etc...
I beleive the problem may be the router settings and all the stuff about 2.4ghz or 5ghz or compatible WiFi etc. See photos.
So my questions is, has anyone ran into a similar problem and can you tell me the fix that doesn't require resetting the hub or devices everytime?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, exactly that.
Went and enabled the compatibility mode, then a new network was visible with the same network name, just ending on Comp like you said.
Disconnected my phone from the previous network, then reconnected to the comp one. Did this with 2 devices... resulted in "connected without internet" even waited 10 min then unplugged the router aswell. Still nothing.

@UniqNo Did you also power off/on any of those devices that you changed over to the other mode?

On one of them yes.

@UniqNo Would turn on the Comp mode, check the hub is set with it, power the hub off for a good 5mins, then when back on take the look that it still has them both on, after that connect one device and see what/where it connects and say's!
There are 3 hubs that support this feature can you please say what one you have! Added the link from earlier...

It really shouldn't be taking all of that though. Imagine i was an old lady. Lol.
Smart hub 7.

@UniqNo There are 2 variants of that one also, can leave this all alone if you wish to sort it all out by yourself. One is so new and who knows what it does or does not do when you enable the feature, and have not even touched on yet if you also have smart wireless connected with the Pro or Plus wifi 7 EE Hub?
This is all the new way that EE deals with connectivity issues that ANY ISP's hub can run into with the newer securities feature that is just not 100%, that is what your opening post is eluding to with the stability, drops and re-connects on the wireless WiFi side....
There is loads off fun getting it all to work no matter which way it takes to do it all and at the end off the day the help may just all be complete B/S!

I know youre trying to help, but none of that made sense to me. 😢 it just feels hopeless right now.

@UniqNo OK, the EE Smart Hub 7 Plus, is new out the wrapper 3 months max, already had a load off traction about it as does not do this, does not do that, complete waste off space, how can they get it so wrong, etc etc EE did a FW fix only 4 weeks ago smoothed out a lot off issues....
Think you said they are going to send you out a new EE Hub, so let that happen and take it from there.... It's not easy in the new world of WiFi 7 there is a lot to deal with never mind your X-Box not working and that is still way back off the line!👍

Yeah thats the one we got. But i reckon they're just going to send the same one to be honest which doesnt come until tuesday.
We work from home though so not having WiFi tomorrow means its going to be a bit of an issue. I can dig out an ethernet cable, but they should really compensate for this...
I did ask and they said no. We'll see where it goes. Thanks for trying though.

@UniqNo You have the EE Smart Hub 7 Plus then from your rely, are you also using any form of EE Smart wireless, or have the sky Q wireless boosting turned on at the same time, if you look at the ssid from the EE Hub, do you see the name and also a EE WiFi at the same time?
Just had to do a quick check so if your sky Q is on and wireless connected, turn it off, do you also have any sky Q mini's in use if so same for them?
Why do you think that sky is slower, i have the FF500 with them and hit 500/70Mb/s no problems and virtually every time so no idea why you have that idea in your head, i even do 2.2Gb/s internal over the network and that's not even close as no wifi 7 devices at all.
