Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings & connect your device to that.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

It’s the smart WiFi hub plus. I can’t find anywhere on the site or app about checking the ghz setup. Thanks!

Is that on the site or in the app?

Neither, on the router. Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router.

I have done this very easily so thank you but once i input my admin password it tries to log in but nothing happens (2 green balls moving in a circle) so either it’s not working at the mo or my internet is poor

@JonP73  I found I had to set up compatible WIFI restricted to 2.4 GHz and WPA2-Personal.

In addition if you have had too many attempts at getting connected the Mini hub will need resetting by Octopus.

A phone call to Octopus support gets this done.

Following this my Mini Hub connected and has stayed connected ever since

Thanks Ewan, i think i’ll i just call Octopus and get them to help as you say. 🙂
