Ella from Cardiff was excellent today giving advice. We've had repeated problems with the WiFi dropping off, yet every time we've contacted customer services we've been told that the connection was fine (speed tests done etc). One occasion they even sent a new router. Today Ella talked me through setting up 'compatibility mode'. Some older laptops (6-7 years old) and other devices struggling with the more updated technology. Once set up and connected, the device can chose between the normal or compatibility mode when switched on as it goes for the strongest signal. Devices could include phones, computers, TVs etc. The explanation and instructions were excellent. Thank you Ella! Seeing others comment about WiFi drop off I think that this might solve a lot of problems!
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.
