Changing from BT to EE broadband do I need a new router

I have just changed from BT to EE and have a home phone adaptor but do I need a new router because nothing has arrived

@JenniR  you don't need a new one, your current BT router will continue to work. 

Not sure exactly the criteria to get a new EE router, have you spoken to the Broadband Care Team?
