I had an issue, earlier this year, which led to EE closing down my account and creating a completely new one for me. In order to do that, we had to create a temporary email address to set up the new account. The adviser was clear that once the old account closed down, I'd be able to log into the new EEID and change the email address back to my actual email address instead of the temporary one.
One the transfer was completed, the adviser changed my contact email address on the new account to be my actual address, so I do receive emails from EE correctly. However, I still have to log in with the temporary address, rather than my proper email address. If I log in with that address, and then try to change the login email, it sends me a onetime passcode by text, then asks for the new email address I want to use, sends a passcode to that, then accepts the passcode but says it can't use that email address for my login because it's already in use!
If I try to log in with my actual email address, it accepts the password but then displays a screen that says it cannot load, and that it's no my fault but EE's, so I can't go into that account to change the email address so that it frees up my actual address to be used on my new EEID.
EE said they'd investigate this in about March, but despite chasing, I haven't heard anything back. Any ideas how I can get this resolved?

@GC_Wood no one on here has account access, so it is something that you will need to speak to customer services about.

I guess I'll just have to live with it, then! 😓
