Cannot connect Meross Power strip to EE smart Hub Pro

Hi, I have recently changed to EE broadband and WIFI 7 via the EE smart Hub Pro, we have several Meross wifi connected power strips and I can't connect them to the router, I have turned on compatible Wifi to activate the 2.4ghz and 5ghz  frequency's and connected my iPhone 16 to to the router via the compatible wifi connection. However I still cannot get the meross app to connect the power strips, I cannot be sure if my phone has connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz frequency as there doesn't appear to be any way of checking, please can anyone help / has anyone else got a similar issue. I dont really want to buy a separate 2.4ghz access point as the router should be capable to connecting these devices.

No, I'm taking about the router. Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router.

@Pokerjo  The Meross power strip only connects to 2.4 GHz.    You can check what your iPhone is connected to via the EE app.   You click manage/broadband/click the router picture then look for your device and click it. ( it should be the first in the list ) It’ll show the connection type at the top.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Chris_B  Thanks for that, my iPhone is connecting to the 5GHz frequency, any ideas on how to get it connected to the 2.4GHz.

Try on the Advanced > Wireless Settings page to temporarily disable the 5 GHz WiFi band & move off the Smart channel while connecting problematic 2.4 GHz devices.

Hi, I can't seem to find advanced, using the EE app I click on manage wifi controls but nothing about advanced settings, can I access the Smart hub pro using its ip address?
