Hi all,
I hope you're having a relaxing Easyer Monday.
I've just tried to change my broadband tariff as I'm out of contract. However, I'm unable to do this until at the earliest 6th July as there is an open order on my line, due to works Openreach have done locally to increase Internet speed.
Apparently, if Openreach do any further works, this date could be extended.
Event if I leave EE a new provider will see there is an open order on the line so I'd still not be able to change my tariff.
Any thoughts on what to do?
Many thanks

@Harryhairnet Are you currently on a copper to the home with Fibre now available but just not fully there at present for whatever reason?

I think I'm in exactly the same position. I'm trying to help a vulnerable family whose just moved into a rented property in South Birmingham, the landlord has terminated the BT connection with end date of 28 April, but when we spoke to BT all was going well until they went to finally place the order for new broadband account and got the "open reach have an open order on your line until 6th July" and so (according to them) they can't do anything, except provide "mobile broadband" contract at £35 /month.
Current contract is daylight robbery at £63 / month (I know!), but I'm not sure we can even extend that, now the landlord has requested cancellation.
I'm just amazed that Open Reach can lock down any change on a line for 10 weeks and there's nothing that can be done?
Any ideas welcome. It's a terrible situation.
thanks,

Good afternoon @tom1977-1.
Welcome to the EE Community!
Is your family member an existing customer trying to move their contract, or is this a brand new connection?
If it's the latter, please don't share this in public, but did they directly contact us to take this out and get an order reference number?
