CHOP3-800 error

Various users have been getting the CHOP3-800 error. This seems to have been going on for over 18 months and still it's happening, now to me with a brand new hub. It looks like the hub's web server is the problem. Is EE ever going to fix it? Do EE monitor this forum? Should I cancel my shiny new contract and go somewhere else?

Morning @Faffy @Jenza70

Thanks for posting on the community.

If you get in touch with our broadband tech guides they will get the error message looked into for you both 🙂

After a peaceful few months, the CHOP3-800 error has started again. What has happened? Also, I have lost my IPv6 address again.

The only reason I am sticking with this router is for my landline number. If I could do without it I would be using a third party router that actually works!

I'm going to send this and then power cycle the router so I can at least get as far as the hub manager.

That would be great if you could actually talk to a human being but all I get is a series of texts wanting to run diagnostics - I just want to talk to an actual person.

@Jenza70 Just text GUIDE to 66033 from a registered mobile that your account has if the call is not working for you!

On my third hub this year and now it has started with chop3 error...new hub seems to help for little while then it plays up again.

Something needs done as you can not access security settings so you have no way to check to see if you have been compromised.

@BigStuH : You can usually get over it by refreshing.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

No you don't.

Zero access using browser or app. Reset of hub works for a week or so. New hub works for week or so.

EE don't care as long as you keep paying.
