Hi, I have ADSL EE Brightbox router. I get about 6-8mbp download speeds. I'm on an out of contract old Home Select product.
I don't think full fiber is available from EE in my area but wondering if I can get ADSL2+ with EE so that my download speeds would be nearer 24mbps? Does this just need a new router or does it need something done on the line? Can it be done?
I've tried going into the Broadband deals section on my EE account but always spins same message "a technical problem has occurred please contact support" or similar. Tried calling but lines busy with black friday queries. I only ge this message on broadband part of my account.
Really just wondering if there are any ADSL2+ packages from EE or anything faster than my old brightbox router without getting full fibre
Thanks

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

I believe the technical problem that you're receiving is a result of EE Broadband moving to a new billing and ordering system on "New EE" so you would have to call the broadband team so they could migrate you across and re-contract you.
If you have EE Mobile, let them know at the start of the process and insist that you want the order placed on your existing mobile ID so that it links the accounts and you can manage bills and get all the Multi Product Benefits.
As advised by @XRaySpeX above, you can check the BT Wholesale Checker or go to the Openreach Fibre Checker and this should provide you with a rough idea of the speeds that will be available to you when you re-contract. The Openreach Fibre Checker is a bit more user friendly but maybe not quite as accurate.
Other than that they'll be able to tell you what speeds are available over the phone.

Thanks for replies. The wholesale checker says average with adsl2+ is 6-7mbps and standard adsl is 1-2 mbps. Seems low as I can get 6-8 mbps with standard ADSL at moment.
I check openreach and that says up to 21mbps is available at my address with standard broadband. Assume that is my potential if I recontract. Thanks

Show me the whole BTw Checker table. You gotta know how to interpret these things.
Post your full router stats:

@Hopey99 Re the checkers, the Openreach only shows the available technology with no accurate speed estimates.
The BTW checker shows the max speeds available for your line, although can get influenced if your line has been running under fault conditions for a while. But show the info for more detailed information.
