Broadband switch problem.

I'm trying to switch my BB to EE, I used a comparison site to find a good price of £24.99 for 500mb.

However when I go through the process and they check my existing provider it says there is already a switch request on my line.

In July last year I was going to switch to sky from Now, sky ballsed it up and I cancelled and continued with NOW. So I have called both Sky and NOW and they both say there is no request on my line, it is clear.

So then I goto the EE website and use the chat option, I talk to someone and they say they can sort it and sign me up but they offered £32.99, I said I had a deal for £24.99 on the website and I saved the deal and EE sent me an email confirming it, but the chat bloke insisted I didn't get anything from EE and that the problem is be cause I used a 3rd party site and I have to do it through the chat for £32.99. This isn't true as going straight through the EE site for the higher priced deal it still says there's a switch request and I cannot continue.

Is there anyway I can solve this switch request problem and get the £24.99 deal?

Thanks

Unlikely! That is ridiculously cheap. FF 500 is on sale to new custs for £34.

Also it look like the comparison site actually initiated an order for you with EE.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I can go through an order to the final steps with any other provider and none of them say I have a switch request already though.

Its only EE this happens on.

It is cheap, that's why I want it.

FF 500 for new customers for £34 might be the case if you start from the EE site but if you click through any of the comparison sites it's been £23.99 for 300 £24.99 for 500 and £25.99 for 900 for most of this month - and for a week there was a voucher for 900 and 1.6 too
