Broadband set up

Hello, i am a new customer for broadband.Just received the router, as i have BT socket into flat i have installed the router myself. I called you guys as I have an engineer scheduled for 17th, and since I installed it I was wondering if i was able to get my internet activated today and not to wait for the engineer anymore,the girl who answered advised I still need the engineer,not sure for what though, can you please advise?

Were you given a go live date when you scheduled an engineer?

Did you have BB from another ISP? Is the router connecting to anything?

If it an FTTC connection an engineer would at least have to connect you to a port in the FTTC cab, that is something you can't do yourself.
