Broadband refund

My Broadband was extremely slooooow until an Openreach engineer finally visited on 4th August this year. My maximum speed had been 15 - 18 mb download and 0.05 mb upload for several months prior to that. (for reference emailing a n mp3 file to a friend could take 30 minutes as I guess there may have been many faulty packets re-sent)

EE engineers had called twice and had  advised me that the router was faulty. EE sent me a new one but it was no better. The EE broadband helpdesk arranged for the Openreach engineer to visit and he found a faulty module in the local cabinet. The helpdesk told me that I  would get a couple of months refund on my broadband. I've just received my October bill and there's still no sign of the refund. Does anyone know how long this is likely to take until I get this please?

And, as an aside, does anyone have any fixes for the appalling EE wifi? I have 2 extenders and wifi still only covers half of the downstairs area of the house)

@DavidC088 : What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, do you have (read label or post a pix)?

@DavidC088 The link below explains it all and you just have to keep pursuing it at all times to get anywhere!

Automatic compensation for broadband or landline issues | Broadband Help | EE

Thanks for the link but these days life seems just too short to spend hours on the phone to EE. I'll probably just end up waiting until my contract is out. Service has been dreadful since I moved from BT-especially the poor wifi!

@DavidC088 Compensation is always a bug bear no matter what and hardball is played without a doubt, your wi-fi signal about the home you have to give up as @XRaySpeX requested the details needed for anyone to start to say! And expect a few more relevant questions regarding your EE Smarthub+ and Smart wireless devices, although at least they are all showing Aqua to start with! Would also try your cordless phone further away from the EE Router just in case it is up near the the 5Ghz frequency range!
