While watching something on the TV it will randomly switch off.

All routers supplied by EE could be called "EE boxes" but they each have a specific model name.  Read the label on it or post an image of your router.

@Woodturner21  we don't seem to be getting very far here. Have you seen and followed the steps in the Help pages below?
