You shouldn't have been. It's yours to do as you want.

See EE TV Closure :

Returning your EE TV box

You can keep your EE TV box free of charge if you want to. If you'd like to return it to us via Freepost, follow the instructions on our return page.
If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC => 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC => 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC => 2022: EE 80 Meg FTTC (no landline number)
So how do I get my money back? I have been deducted £315 from my account for the non return of a TV box which I never had and that is worth nothing anyway!
Alan

Phone CS to dispute this charge. Also refer them to their own article which I linked, even tho' you never had an EE TV Box but if even you had this article covers it.

@alangaunt  EE tv shut down 21/3/21 so I’m really surprised you’ve been billed for this at all especially now just over 2 years later.

@alangaunt   have you checked if that is a genuine email/charge - where do do you see the charge?
