Broadband and landline phone keep dropping and blocked from certain sites

Disgusted with EE at the moment my broadband and landline keep dropping out like 6 times a day. Done all the usual, even rang EE who tell me no faults found and have rebooted my router twice when I try to speak to someone there is always an 1 or more wait. I  need my landline and need  my laptop I live rurally am 69 and need to know I have access to both. This only started to happen a week ago, until then fine. Oddly enough when I rand the BT 0800 fault line last week they said there was a fault detected on my line and someone would  come out within 48 hrs - no one did. So where has this fault that EE now say does not exist gone as my line is almost unusuable.

What lights show on the router when this happens?

If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult Check service in your area  to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area. You may also Report a Problem there.

Have you reported your problem with your BB to EE? They can't do anything about it until you do. Text HELP to 66033 to get EE to test the line & see what needs doing.

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, do you have (read label or post a pix)?

Why are you calling BT about an EE BB fault?

Thanks EE have tested the line they say all is fine. I am calling BT because when the line goes down it is a BT automated voice telling me to call them using my mobile. Yes, of course I have reported the BT problem to EE  I have done all you suggest I was hoping someone else might have experienced this problem thanks anyway.

BB faults are usually specific to your own line. Of course others may experience similar faults but it won't help fix yours any quicker unless it falls under 1 of those neighbourhood issues I said earlier you could check for.

You are right. It might help if I could actually speak to someone, but each time I try, there is an hour or more to wait, and it never seems to get any less. Oh, well, tomorrow is another day, as they say. Thanks again.

Just read a lot of reviews on Trustpilot, it seems I am not the only one (far from it), broadband going down is a common occurrence. 😂

@coldun What EE Hub do you have, a new FW update to the 6 Plus and the 7 Pro has been causing stability issues over the last week....

@coldun  Mines never gone down.  And that’s 6+ years with EE broadband.    And you don’t seem to realise that website like trust pilot only pull in negative reviews as people don’t go on there really to give reviews when they don’t have any issue because why would you.

it’s the same as this forum you don’t really see loads of customers giving glowing reviews you only see the ones with issues.

There will be millions of customers without issue against the few thousand with issues.

  • Mobile Base: 21.2 million total mobile customers, with about 13.9 million holding postpaid contracts.
  • Broadband: with over 3.2 million active and growing.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

That is so not true - there are thousands of positive feedback comments left on Trustpilot.
Glad you have not had any problems but that does not help those of us who are/have.
