I am a bit confused a I have recently renewed my contract and they have sent me a new hub although the last one is working perfectly fine and so I am not sure why. I have received 2 boxes, one is the smart hub pro and the other is a smart wifi pro. I have googled it and I think the WIFI pro is just a booster for other areas of a house but I live in a small flat and do not have any dead spots currently and so do I just plug the main hub in?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Kathy1612 Bit strange the Pro / Smart wireless is normally only dispatched for a 1.6Gb/s Full Fibre package or moving to Ultimate Full Fibre package upgrade. or asking for them as an Addon Charge to your package. You can use the 7 Pro Hub as long as you have a Full Fibre connection. Terms if you need below.

What EE BB plan are you on? Did you change it when you renewed your contract?
Which model was your old router?
The Smart WiFi Extender Pro is indeed a booster for further regions of the home. You might not need it & could phone CS to arrange to return it & take it off your list of EE kit.

Hi, thank you. I had a smart hub 6 and am on full fibre. I did not change my package, just renewed. I will do as you suggested and contact CS.

@Kathy1612 If everything you have is working fine, then there is just no need for you to get any new Equipment from EE, hopefully nothing was upsold to you with a renewal only, would double check any email that was sent to you also.
The EE Smart Hub 6 Plus although a few years old now, there is no mention anywhere that the default is going to be the EE Smart Hub 7 Plus version never mind the top off the food chain 7 Pro version.
Could be it's all happening so see the EE linked help below!
