Being over charged

So basically I started up a direct debit, and for some reason I'm being charged nearly 90 pounds,  it turns out last month's wasn't taken and that is not my fault, EE can't and shouldn't think it's right trying to take all that money out of someone account, who's already struggling it's a disgrace,  I never had this problem when I was on BT and since changing over, internet is slow and it's disgusting considering I'm paying nearly 50 pounds a month. so I've now stopped the direct debit. Yes I will be giving EE a ring tomorrow to sort it out but then maybe i will go on another broadband .

@Jane2210 : If last month's DD was bounced than this month's bill will include that as well as this month's subs. Have you been in touch with EE to discuss that you are struggling to pay & to come to an repayment arrangement?

Cancelling your DD doesn't cancel your obligation but puts you at risk of marring your credit history & nasty letters from debt collectors as you'll still be owing EE money.

Whilst anyone ex BT has  my sympathies, I think this underlines the importance of keeping track of bank account transactions.

Was the non pymt a  bank error?
