I have swapped from BT fttc (75mbs) to EE fttp (150) New 2 year contract. They have used my old BT hub to complete this, All working. But can/should i insist on a new EE hub.

@cope5998 1st point, on your new EE FF service do you have DV for a landline, if so then you may have the BT Smarthub2 router, if you care to mention what you have?
BT and EE will have deemed that the BT equipment and as you only mention a hub, then what you have from BT is capable on your new EE FF 150 service, so for that reason they have decided what you have you should keep and use. Some say that the BT router is very good, others say that the EE is good or better, then other BT user's say it is complete crap, inferior low signal not as good as what they had, so no clear picture, having never used BT but only EE then cannot compare, EE is not bad, but very very restricted.
Down side to your current is 1. the EE app does not currently operate the BT router, so possible problems trying to manage the operation of the router, and if you do not use any MyBT app to do any control just forget about that completely. Upgrading to the EE Smarthub+ if they were to give you that, then operational wise, they are not that far apart. Link below for the EE Routers, BT spec you will find on BT.
