EE 5G Broadband - Fair Usage Policy

Before everyone shouts at me, I know there is lots detailing the limits on other threads…

EE 5G Broadband @ £55/month - 1000GB FUP

EE 5G Data Sim @ £25/month - 600GB FUP

Has anyone ever actually hit the limits and had traffic restrictions? I know the terms “EE Could move you to another plan or deprioritise data”, I’m not after that. I’d like to know if anyone has actually hit it, what was imposed, speed reductions etc.

We’ve had Starlink for 6 months, (no FTTP, only FTTC) but the price rises have become unaffordable. I rushed into buying EE FTTC broadband, which will limit me at about 40mbps. I’m still in my cooling off period, so I’d like to know if switching to the 5G Broadband would be viable.

Thanks for reading 🙂

@joegannon27  It’ll depend on how regularly you hit that limit.  If it’s every month then yes EE could limit you and or move you to a different tariff.  Occasionally going over you’ll see no difference.
