I'm with BT. We used to have a BT WIFI app that would automatically connect to BT WIFI hotspots.
Since the move to EE I now need to do a lengthily website log-in and password entry every time I want to use an EE hotspot.
Also, my son used to be able to use BT Hotspots because he had the app installed on his phone, and I had stored the credentials in that app for him. Without an app, for him to continue using EE WIFI, I would have to tell him the BT account master password, which would undermine any parental controls.
Are there plans for an app that will store the credentials and make logging in smoother, and more secure to share in a family?

The BT WiFi app was discontinued about a month or so ago and is no longer available to be downloaded. But at the moment any one who has 1 already installed they still work. I don’t think there will be an EE WiFi app as it would have been available as part of the change from BT WiFi to EE WiFi. But who knows with BT/EE.

@asktoby if you have an EE sim and compatible mobile you can set up auto connect in the phones settings. How Do I Access WiFi Coverage Boost? | Mobile Help | EE

I don't have an EE mobile so it looks like I'm stuck with the log-in form.

@asktoby - there is an option (I think) that I am looking at atm. Its a bit convoluted and means using a third party app to manage the login credentials. If you goto the Google Play Store (hoping would be one for Apple, although I can't tell) and search for an app called WiFi Web Login. Should find an app created by Ryan Hoffman that is designed to get around Captive Portals automatically. I was struggling to get this to work with EE WiFi anyway due to the complex nature of the captive portal pages (ie flagging what type of customer you are first, although in a review (the top one as I found it from Rimzy Mohamed Riza), there is a suggested solution that reads as follows (the bit in bold is the nugget):
"Changing Default Webpage will prevent logging into other networks. Please make it WiFi Network specific./// This app is amazing and saves a lot of time logging in to BT/EE WiFi when the phone keeps disconnecting! Happy to purchase the app when the developer is still active in supporting the app! PS: For BT/EE WiFi, go to Preferences and change the Default Webpage to the login page URL with the username, and save the username and password in the preference section. It should then auto login."
Beware the app UI isn't very intuative, but if you connect to an EE Wi-Fi hotspot as normal through the captive portal, then open the WiFi Web Login app, you should be able to find all of the settings. As a BT customer (me too), I think the Default webpage needs to be https://auth.bt.com, although I'm not sure what Rimzy means when he says "change the Default Webpage to the login page URL with the username". I assume therefore the Default WebPage must be (for me as a BT Broadband customer https://auth.bt.com although he may mean the default URL of the page with your username added, like (https://auth.bt.com/yourbtusername,) but I have yet to test properly.
Anyway, as I'd been struggling the your post was fairly recent, thought I'd let you know there seems to be a solution...
