BT broadband to EE 1.6gbps

What a pain it has been to switch over to EE to get new router and faster speeds. Initially I was told they can order the 1.6gbps broadband from EE as I had by complete WiFi and i agreed only then after the phone call ended I noticed they simply transferred over like for like package on EE and found I then had to pay more not much but still £1 more. I was later told to let my order complete and I can then regrade and get the 1.6gb fibre from EE. I then checked on EE and it was still showing as I have the 900mb package. A few days passed, however  to my surprise it now shows I can get rhe 1.6 gbps package from EE. So when I called again to day I was told I can’t get it even though I am on full fibre fttp as the people on the phone said they can’t see the offer so can’t provide this to me  so firstly I was misled and missold what I was ordering then now their site doesn’t match it states I can get which is mis advertising. I have spent a number hours on the phone.

As i feared with todays update as you can see no reason given for it this week, this has got way past a joke now,with 2 week wait when ordered it over 5 weeks !!!! Here what EE said today.

 It's David from EE.
Having got a chat with Openreach, unfortunately there is a further delay with them and our next review date is on 12/01. I will check back & keep you updated when we have more information.

and now it become a review date where as last week date of 3/1 was a completion date, between EE and Openreach they took a working service and broke it so badly they need over 3 weeks to fix it

@Bluenose_Dave

What a load of old crock.😡

From how I see it they are taking orders (and money) for a product "ie" 1.6Gb Full Fibre Busiest Home Bundle which either they cannot supply or it doesn't work, either way we have signed up and paying for a service they at this time cannot provide.

This is the year 2024 now.... Are they actually legal selling such a product.!!!🤔

Yes it is a joke as it not just affecting the odd person seems more widespread issues,so i been told they removed the bt account on the line and that EE was not blocking the 1.6 connect as i was with BT, all this was said the weekend before Xmas, so all original issues was sorted, so im lost at why it taking so long no news on yours Tim?

@Bluenose_Dave

Not a word Dave, not even a text, email, message update telling me they can't fulfil the very order "THEY" talked me into buying.

I suppose at this moment in time my existing BT 900/110 contract is still live and working so all not lost but most certainly infuriating.

Thankfully you have the BT900 still running,i lost all connection, having to use a 4g router i had as I was on halo package but that capped to 30mb speeds. And is it me or has EE stopped saying about 1.6 speeds on the adverts as i not see one for a while seen loads on about the smart wifi
