BT WholeHome compatability

I have fttc with Plusnet. They will soon move me over to EE, and I think that means that I will get a WiFi-6 Smart Hub Plus.

I currently run a BT WholeHome mesh system (6 discs, white).  EE told me, by phone, that these will not work with the EE router.

But BT say (https://www.bt.com/help/user-guides/bt-whole-home-wi-fi/bt-whole-home-wi-fi-faqs---compatibility) "BT Whole Home Wi-Fi products are compatible with all broadband hubs and routers with an RJ45 Ethernet port."

I presume that my EE router will have an RJ45?  So who is correct, EE or BT>?

BT! The BT Whole Home WiFi discs should work with any current EE router. It's the BT Complete WiFi discs that don't.

Sounds good.  I'll let you know in a few weeks time!!!

@NickFrost Keep the Forum posted how it goes using your home Hub disk's and there has been a few post's with user's trying to use and connect to EE Router's they start off reasonable, and after a few day's become highly unstable in operation, each poster has said only going to EE Later Smart Wireless devices to match the router has worked...

Not everything is 100% Guaranteed to work with every device sure that you are aware off this fact, if not you are now!

You would be better with the EE Smart Hub, closer option to what you have with the Plus Net hub currently.

Thanks.  Fingers crossed!

I had a BT router with 6 white mesh discs. I replaced it with EE FTTH. After installation, I plugged one of the Mesh discs into the router. I didn't touch the router's settings.  It all works fine, with no changes needed downstream, resetting all of the various wifi receptors.

Thanks!
