BT Black Discs with BT Smart Hub on EE Broadband

Hi Guys

I have recently migrated over to the EE Broadband but kept all my existing BT equipment.  My problem is I have 3 BT black discs and a BT Smart hub.  Only 1 out of the 3 discs is working.  I have tried all pairing methods but I can't get the blue light to remain steady, it just returns back to red.

I cannot get back onto the BT App to pair them as it's been switched off.  I tried pairing using the network cable direct to the hub and this works until I pull the cable out and it goes red again.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Have you tried a factory reset on the WiFi Discs? I think you hold the reset button in for 25 seconds while on and they will reset — it's either that, or press just the once. (Between the BT Smart Hub 1 and BT Smart Hub 2 they changed this for the hubs and may have changed it for the discs that come with the Smart Hub 2) - either way if you hold the reset for 25 seconds it should certainly do the job.

Once reset, try to re-pair as if from new.

Hi,

I now have the same issue. As off yesterday both black BT discs won't connect to the BT SH2. Red light. Get a blue light when connected via ethernet cable.

Did you manage to solve this issue?

Thanks

This worked for me actually. 👍

What just the reset? Did it pair with what HUB EE Smart+ or BT SH2

BT Smart Hub 2.

Yeah did the factory reset (hold button for 12 secs) then turned SH2 off and straight on with power button. Then paired disc to hub again (think I had to do it via ethernet).

Worked for me
