Hi there.
I have an unlimited minutes contract for landline and mobile calls on my landline phone and also 1000 minutes for 0845 and 0870 numbers. Am I subject to the 60 minute rule where you have to hang up and ring again? I ask because I spent longer than that contacting EE! It would seem grossly unfair If that was the case! Hope somebody can put my mind at rest. Many thanks.

@jean77m Yes you are, once the 60 minutes is up then standard per minute calling rates will automatically be applied to your bill for the duration over that period. You need to hang up before the 60mins, and call back again for another period, but never exceed it if you don't wish to pay extra....
The EE should be the exception as free call to them, not sure but would expect the 150 to be ok, the 0800 really should also as you are going to EE for the assistance, if they do bill you, argue that case.....

@JimM11 : Where is that documented?

@XRaySpeX Snapped from the terms
• Inclusive calls are subject to a 60 minute maximum duration per call. To continue making inclusive calls simply hang up and re-dial
• Prices are effective from 1st December 2022
• Terms and conditions apply to EE Home phone services. Visit ee.co.uk/terms

@JimM11 : That applies to legacy EE BB & its traditional landlines. Such a limitation does not appear in

@XRaySpeX As you say one of those interesting ones, do we ask on DV or Legacy for phone, it's in one but not the other, and then do you wish to take the chance of going over the hour, quickly racking up call charges when you have already paid the premium when unlimited is unlimited but wait a minute don't go over 60....

Thanks all for your help and advice. In view of slightly contradicting comments, I decided to contact EE at 8am today to try and get the definitive answer. The reply was that you have to cut the call after 60 minutes (if you don't want to incur extra charges) UNLESS you are speaking to EE in which case you can speak for as long as you like without incurring extra charges. However, I was told that even though I have unlimited minutes on my landline that it will be capped at 1000 minutes! So say that I have unlimited minutes is a contradiction in terms. I don't get it! My EE mobile contract is unlimited minutes, texts and data and I was told this morning that it is truly unlimited and that I could stay on the mobile 24/7 if I wanted to! The only reason I still have a landline is as a backup in case my mobile signal drops off while I am at home. I would be interested in more feedback about this. Many thanks.

@jean77m Are you a legacy customer, your phone plugs into the standard OR phone socket, or are you on the new EE DV digital voice home phone product, where the phone plugs into the back of your EE/BT router or to the remote adapter?
As @XRaySpeX pointed out, and you now have a link to both phone terms, one say's yes (60mins legacy) and one say's nothing but it is suspected that the 60mins would apply. I would seriously question that unlimited cut to 1000mins will have a re-read again, but it is all one of those fair play rules, month/month reset's so period start again, but like all call packages they are very hard to work out, i had the sky unlimited calling plan like yours, did get caught a few times with the overs, especially the way companies now are virtually all using some kind of call system before you get to speak to a body, your number 89 in the queue hold on we really want to speak to you, yeah get a life, hang-up try later!
It's documented as below and it's one of those, but i would go with the ** as its in the 0845 etc and the mention of international, suppose it's there to stop abuse of the system, whatever!!! Not much more input i can give
** Fair Usage Policy applies: Maximum 1000 minutes or 150
calls a month. If either of these limits on inclusive calls is exceeded, EE will charge for these calls until further notice.
** Fair use policy applies. Zero pence rated calls to International fixed line destinations are limited to 600 minutes per month. Calls to these international fixed line destinations in excess of
this limit are charged at 8.44p per minute. A 32.80p set up fee applies for all chargeable calls to countries, excluding countries in Band D.
