It’s been a nightmare ordering the 1.6 GB from EE. They clearly are not ready. I ordered online and was given an installation date, 26/01/24. The router etc arrived the day before. The day came and went and no sign of the Openreach engineer. After multiple calls I was told the order should not have been accepted because it’s not available to me even though I have BT 900.
they cancelled the order and everything was removed from the account apart from a created order to return the equipment. I wake up this morning and the order for broadband has returned and is pending again. Why can’t they get their act together concerning this product?

The service is defo not ready, i had activation date 18th dec. openreach came changed the ONT ,rebuilt the line and killed my connection and i still have no service now, i lost my bt 900/110 and have not got 1.6gb/s connection, i know of others with issues too, so i am not surprised it been pulled for now

I am in the exact same boat as you. They came, replaced the ONT, rang helpdesk to activate, helpdesk said the line needed rebuilt, and now I have no broadband as they couldn't register the PON with the new ONT.
Did you get yours fixed in the end?

Similar situation with me, ordered the 1.6gb given an activation date of 19th April, equipment arrived 17th April. No engineer on the 19th even though I took the day off. Following week an Engineer just turns up my son was home so allowed him in, he swapped over the BT router for the EE one, and said something about having to make changes at the exchange, but still on 900mb BT account which I am being charged £90+ a month for, spoken to EE/BT many times and even though the call centre in Doncaster try to help, as soon as they transfer you to the Next Gen team, they just don't give a F@ck, tell you openreach will arrange a new appt within 24hrs, then nothing, call back 3 days later same.. the Next Gen team need to be giving real information.

So after 4 weeks my transfer from Sky 900 to EE 1.6Gb is complete and happy to say its all working correctly and IPV6 is working nicely

@Brugie58 : Can you use the WiFi Controls of the EE app?

Not tried it, but I would say it would not work as I am not using their router plus my Wi-Fi is coming from 2 x Zyxel AP's and a Draytek AP around the house and the app would obviously be geared to using the EE router

OK, @Brugie58 , understood.

WiFi controls work for me expect WiFi enhancer, what keeps knocking my speeds down to 300. This is now a known issues with smart hub plus as I had openreach here yesterday and he called DCoE second tier and I heard them telling him about it
