0845 calls ?

Am I correct in thining that 0845 numbers dialled from my home phone that has the Anytime Calls to Uk numbers add-on, are free ?

@greyjaybee Your tariff doesn’t cover costs to 0845 numbers as these are chargeable.

Calls to 0845 numbers aren't included in your inclusive minutes. Have you checked to see if the company you're calling have a standard landline number you can call?

@david276 : That's a Service No., not included in your calls allowance.
See if you can find an alternative non-chargeable no. by looking it up on Say No To 0870 or better still go to the co.'s own website. If you just Google it you're likely to come up with scammers giving you fake indirect nos. which you pay for.
Try calling the same no. but with 0845 replaced by 0345. The latter are charged at normal rate or free depending on your plan. Some years ago OFCOM told firms to stop using 087 & 084 nos for their CS & start using 03 nos.
