Hi there.
2 weeks ago now I rang ee,s helpline and chose the 2 and 4 (or 4 then 2 cant remember to hand) option. To try to unlock an old handset.
I spoke to a customer service chap and went through the motions of unlocking (giving imei of old phone and security questions etc) and because I formally had an account, I was told this would be free and that it should be completed within 10 days.
14 days later and nothing.
no email to say the process has begun or anything.
I could take the phone to an independent phone shop and get it unlocked within 48 hrs for a fee. However given the fact I've put literatly thousands of pounds in ee's coffers, I am as you can likely understand somewhat reluctant to take this course of action.
Out of curiosity why can an independent phone shop unlock the phone within 48 hours but with ee the wait is 10 days?
if someone can please look into this ASAP, I would appreciate it.
Regards
Loz
