how long does it take to activate a sim been waiting 24 plus now?

@flash1966   It shouldn’t take any longer then 24 hours. It’s usually 3-4 hours at best.   Is this a contract sim or PAYG ?  Is your device unlocked to use a EE sim if it’s not a EE device? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

its a sim only i bought a new phone ive followed the letter to the full and on youtube how to put the sim in its still not working
