This may seem a daft question, but have you put the sim card in the right way up. Some iPhones need the sim card to have the contacts facing up, other iPhones need the contacts facing down.

Easy mistake to make - I speak from experience.

I got iphone se, sim card can not be placed upside down it would not go into the phone.

Assuming sim card is faulty, if put onother sim card phone gets the network.
