I have just upgraded from iphone 6s to iphone 8plus. followed instructions to back up using itunes on computer. sadly most of the photos have not uploaded, text messages, whatsapp, and gmail. have uploaded some through app store but cant reload emails. frustrating to lose message and email history
Please can you advise ?

Thanks for the reply, I'm reluctant to use icloud, it's constantly asking me to pay for more space. The original advice said if I already have an i phone to place them near each other and automatically will restore to new phone. Why is everything so complicated ?? !!!!

Is your iPhone 6S using iOS 11 or later?

Apologies for not replying to suggestions, sorry but I cant find my original post! I managed to put apps on from the app store but historical text messages and whatsapp, and photos have not been retrieved !! 😕
for future reference , where do i find replies?
