iPhone 8s touchscreen not working

I cannot use my phone as the touchscreen does not appear to be working. I cannot even reboot which I thought might fix the issue but that’s not possible as I need to swipe the screen to close down! Can anyone advise please?

@Jill14   You don’t need to use the slider to switch of the device. Please try this 

 

  1. Press the volume up button once, then press the volume down button once.
  2. Press and hold the side button until the screen goes black. Keep holding the side button until the Apple logo appears
To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried this (several times) but the phone does not shut down. The apple logo never appears. It just goes back to the home screen.

Can you try the steps on the Apple support page here? if these do not work there is an option to contact Apple for further help.

Thanks Leanne. No luck I’m afraid. Looks like I need to have the phone repaired.
