So i’m currently waiting for an iPhone 12 Pro in Gold at 256GB.
My old contract has now run out (yesterday) and i think i’m supposed to get my new EE phone and contract on tuesday (if all goes well).
However if i change my order to get the phone in Red instead, would that be able to ship out quicker? I’m not sure on current EE stocks and the popularity of colours. But if it’s possible that i could get my phone before the middle of next week at the earliest by swapped to a Red colour then that would be ideal.
Can anyone from EE help me out with this please? I can’t actually call up and ask because like it said, i currently have no phone to call from.

@JakeS1994 , do you not have your phone, which you have been using? Your contract does not run out, it will continue, until you change it or until you receive your new phone, and yes, it probably will put you back to the bottom of the pile, as you would have to cancel your present order and start again, but you will have to ring customer service to find out.
From what I have heard, there will be a delay from Apple sending phones out due to components needed that they are waiting for due to the current climate and the request for the phone.

I just said, my current contract has ran out so i have no phone. I think i would be aware if it was up or not. I was just with Vodafone and am swapping to EE. I currently have no phone.
Also i very much doubt swapping colours automatically puts you to the bottom of the pile again. It would completely depend on stock and demand of each colour. Which is why i wanted someone from EE to actually let me know what the situation is if they have that information.
I haven’t heard that about the apple supply chain until you just mentioned it though. I had my follow up text a couple of days ago though saying my order is on track for next week.
I was just trying to see if another colour meant i could get one quicker as i kind of need a phone for work (not super urgent because of my job but obviously not ideal).
Thanks for your reply but i’m honestly just looking for info from an employee if possible.

Hi @JakeS1994,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Sorry, the iPhone 12 Pro isn't available in red. Were you wanting to switch to the standard iPhone 12?
Thanks
James

@James_B , you are right, had not thought of that, as the pro and pro max are not available in red, my mistake! I

Ohhh i see, i was under the impression that it was for some reason! Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hello, no sorry i was under the impression that the pro was also available in red, i must have been mistaken.
I was looking to keep everything else the same but was just wondering if the other colours had more stock so i could get one quicker.
If i swapped to the blue iPhone 12 Pro at 256gb from Gold, would that be available to be sent today? If it’s the same wait time then i will just keep my order the same.
Thank you.

Hi @JakeS1994,
All new orders for the Pro 256GB models have a dispatch time of between 21 and 28 days at the moment.
Thanks
James

Sorry for the late reply, thanks for getting back to me so fast though.
So they’re all completely sold out of every colour, damn i didn’t expect that. I’m guessing my best bet is to just keep my old order and just keep waiting.
Is my order that i placed over a week ago, still dispatching in the 14 day time period that was originally given (next tuesday) or have all orders been pushed back?
I understand the delays etc but when swapping between companies it sucks quite a bit because i have no phone at all right now. I know it’s nothing you guys can control though.
