iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

 

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

 

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

 

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I contacted EE this morning; certainly chewed their ear off 😂 anyways they do have some kind of leverage it seems.. I’ve gone from having to wait 14 days to now just 3 working days so they’ve said I’ll get my DPD message today and potential delivery tomorrow, if not by 27.10.20

If that’s true then it’s a load off bull saying delivery on launch day! EE seriously need to sort it out promising launch day delivery then not backing it up by delivering two or three days later 

I've just got off the phone from them, ordered at 1pm on the dot last Friday, 256gb Pro in blue.

 

They called me on Monday to 'check my address', at which point they apparently 'resubmitted' the order, pushing me to the back of the queue. 

 

I've been told I now shouldn't expect my phone for 2 weeks.

I just got of the phone with ee and all they said is that they can’t tell you when the phone is coming

I still haven't received a text or any updates, despite having ordered on 16th just after 1pm. The advisors at EE have said to still expect it today, despite no text from them or DPD. I genuinely think they dont have a clue.

I honestly don’t mind receiving it a couple days later as long as they tell me when it’s coming! I just don’t understand how I can place my order before people yet they receive their tracking info AND the phone before me after they claim ‘first come first serve’ and yet I’m left in the dark. First I take an L on the RTX 3080 Launch and now this, damn you 2020 lol.

Oh I insisted I speak with a manager; had them put all the notes on my account so I could finally hold some people responsible for miscommunication rather than blaming a job title 

My phone is on its way. I can see on dpd app. Although EE tracking showed awaiting confirmation few hours ago. I didn’t get any email or text from dpd. it’ll be here in 20min.

What number did you put in the DPD app to track your parcel

Fingers crossed that happens for a few of us. Was it showing on the DPD app for a while before?
