iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

So my original confirmation said delivery on the 23rd my tracker is now saying awaiting delivery confirmation still.

the only stuff I’ve had to go off is a thread on here from 2018 where people spoke about their XS orders and they had their Awaiting Confirmation change on the Tuesday at 6pm-ish so hoped it would be the same this year!

However seems to not be the case. Hopefully some movement on orders tomorrow though!

I went for the pro, pacific blue, 256gb.

in terms of experience so far I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

i phoned in the morning to ask what i needed to to put through my anytime upgrade i.e. online or over the phone and i was pleasantly surprised to find it got put through there and then with confirmation coming through just after pre-orders opened.

I’ll be very excited to see the dispatch notification come through, it goes without saying that the last year has been some hard yards, new iPhone launch is a very welcome distraction.

@TheGavnor someone said the same to me the other day.

it has never been the case and certainly wasn’t the case with the watch this year so can’t imagine why it would be with the phone. I suspect that this is either an attempt to manage expectations or someone not knowing what they’re talking about.

Does your online order tracking say Awaiting Confirmation next to the expected delivery date as well?

Yep, awaiting confirmation. I seem to think that last year the information didn’t change until Thursday and that the DPD notification came before EE

If I go back to the iPhone this year (been on Android the last 2 years) then i'll be waiting until November for the Pro Max version

Ah okay! Have you done iPhone preorders through EE before then? This is my first time so fingers crossed all goes smoothly

When I try to track my order it’s just showing a “sorry we can’t show your order details right now” 

anyone else getting this?
