iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

In my own personal experience of ordering a new iPhone every year since iPhone 7 Plus through either EE or Sky I think the main big issue is this which causes confusion/frustration and anxiety:

Whenever there’s a new iPhone unveiled and then when Pre orders go live weather it’s Apple direct , EE or other networks so many people make pre orders and it creates a huge backlog , and here’s the problem , so many people get an initial order confirmation which is actually  STILL WAITING TO BE PROCESSED and then there’s the actual Fully processed confirmation , I’ve seen people on here and other forums say they’ve pre ordered within minutes or hours and still waiting for there’s to be fully processed , where others who pre order later in the day or days later get there’s processed quicker , I don’t know why but it happens , some people never get there’s processed or there order goes “missing” I understand colour of phone and size plays some part in that but not always , frustrating for people that happens to , what are other people’s opinion on this?

Ordered my 256gb pro in blue on Friday at about 2pm, said 23rd October when ordered.

Tracking says "expected dispatch within 24 hours" so hopefully that means i will get it tomorrow.

Does anyone know if you have the option with DPD iphone release, to upgrade delivery for before 12noon (you can normally) as i am actually going away tomorrow afternoon, typical, after not spending a night away from home all year - everything is now happening at the same time!

Also ordered the new ipad air from another company, tracking for that also says 23rd but hasn't updated since i ordered it.

I purposefully opted for the 12 Pro and not the Max. Phones are getting way too big and cumbersome, especially if you already own a big screen device.

I have a iPad Mini 5 and a 12.9" Pro so I'm hoping that the 12 Pro will be far more pleasant to handle than my 11 Pro Max.

Well just gets more confusing , just spoke to a helpful man at upgrades . Despite it says awaiting confirmation and no DPD texts he reckons it’s been picked and will be here tomorrow . Don’t know what to beleive to be honest lol

As long as it’s updated to the 24 hours thing then you will get your phone tomorrow I bet!

Ordered iPhone 12pro on Friday. Status has changed to dispatched in 24hrs for launch day. Just received text from DPD new phone will be with me between 11-12.live in Crawley West Sussex

Weird, got the email confirmation from DPD about an upcoming delivery from EE tomorrow but the EE tracker is still on "awaiting confirmation"...

Anyone else?

Just had a chat on webchat, apparently mines saying delivery by 26th, although for me it’s still saying awaiting confirmation!

Had nothing from DPD yet, I have their app also, still keeping fingers crossed.. lol
