Hi,
I've just had a private engineer visit my property as I though our PC was not working as it should be.... he completed a speed test on our internet and the download speed from my 4G EE Router 2 is a dreadful 988.10 KBPS and upload is 373.87 KBPS....
When I did the EE coverage checker it said I would be able to get 31 MB/S !!! with the Router 2... I'm paying £40 a month.
Can anyone suggest how I can resolve the issue? is it the router ?

Do your own speedtest.
Try a wired speedtest, using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.

position your router beside a window.

Stepsend36.. if you can, tether your phone to the PC via USB to temporarily use as the router. Turn off/disconnect the 4GEE router. Then do a speed test - your phone pulls it's data signal from the same mast as the router. If you get a much better speed with the phone connected it suggests the router may have a problem. If the speed is similarly poor with the phone it suggests you have a weak signal or reception problem. However
this would also have affected your mobile reception quite drastically.
