Hi I have recently changed to 4g EE in wi-fi router in the home as my normal broadband was rubbish with living out in the sticks, I went for the unlimited package, when went onto my account and clicked the number for my 4g router, it said great news you can gift upto 120g of data each month to other phones and tablets on your account, now when I go on it, it says its all been used, but I have not gifted any data to anyone, can someone explain why ??

The 120gb of gift is used up first by yourself, after that it's just UL Data for you only.

even though im on an unlimited package

Yes, as said your gifting allowance gets used up first by yourself.

So if you want to gift do it at the beginning of each monthly refresh Date.

thanks was not told anything about that when I took out the package

It's only talking about data that you may potentially gift from the 1st 120GB (you must have a 5G Plan SIM in it) of all your data to other nos. on your a/c if you choose to. It's just a warning just in case you wanted to. You may safely ignore it & carry on using data for your own purposes including hotspotting.

As you use data for your own use you are eating into this gifting allowance even when you are not actually gifting it.

Notice that it didn't say "You've gifted data you can gift" just that "You've used data you can gift".
