Where did you get this new no? On a new contract or an upgrade?

Hi @Lorrainef19830

Could you please explain what you mean by your old and new numbers?

I suspect you mean that you have an existing EE plan, and have bought a "new connection with a new number" and want to transfer your existing number to a new phone?

If that's right, then you can't. Not without a bit of hassle being involved.

I got an upgrade

you got that correct

Unfortuntely if you'd bought the new phone as an upgrade then by definition you'd have kept your existing number and not got a new one. What you have done is bought a new contract with a new plan and new number.

You have 2 choices...

1: Cancel the new phone within the first 14days, and buy your chosen new phone as an upgrade either from EE or a third-party.

2: Obtain a PAC on your existing number, port it out to another network thus cancelling your contract, and then port it back into your new phone as a new customer.

@Lorrainef19830 : EE won't port nos between contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively "upgrade" your old contract to PAYG & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.
