It would be good if the my EE 4.60 app didn't "Turn Wi-Fi on or off, scan and connect to Wi-Fi networks, add or remove networks or start a local-only hotspot" by default, it seemed to be enabled by default when installing/upgrading the version of the app? I have had to toggle this off.wi-fi.control-ee-4.60.png

Hi @354-

I cannot see the image yet. What device do you have?

I installed the app on my S21 Ultra with no issues.

Thanks

@Northerner - Pixel 2. I'm just not sure why the My EE app needs access to Wi-Fi control permissions by default, I only make use of EE PAYG.

Hi @354-

Right I see what you mean now.

The permissions on the play store is what the app may use not what it currently needs. My app works fine and the permissions are set to off. The reason there are so many is becase of the difference versions of android and how app functionality has changed within Android over the years.

Most of my apps are set to only allow access when using the app. Android 12 is very good at deactivating apps which aren't used.

Thanks
