Who and how do I contact re moving my fibre optic modem.

Viede

Hello,

I've recently had EE and BT Openreach install the fibre optic modem for my EE Broadband. I wasn't happy with the position of the cables however I was in the middle of renovating so was planing to move the modem anyway. However, this is not like the old master sockets so don't feel confident doing it myself.

I cannot find a way to contact BT Openreach to arrange a move and EE doesn't have an option either.

Anyone arranged a move for their modem recently? Any advice on how 5k get this arranged?

Cheers

V

Are you talking about the ONT on the wall for FTTP BB? Do you have an EE Full Fibre package?

You can't talk to OR; you are not their customer. You need to contact CS on the Freephone no. (Opt 3) in my sig.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC => 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC => 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC => 2022: EE 80 Meg FTTC (no landline number)

Hi @Viede ,

Hopefully EE can resolve as per the above. If not, you can make a further enquiry to try to get a quotation for the work as historically it has been ok to do and not too expensive. Things may have changed since covid.

Bottom right for online contact: https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/when-to-get-in-touch-with-openreach

Commercial customer and larger customers may go for https://www.openreach.com/building-developers-and-projects/altering-our-network/altering-our-network...
