WIFI Mini connection to network

I can connect to my new WIFI Mini with both my new iphone 12 pro and my tablet but it won't connect to the internet. Tried everything I can think of. SIM installed.

This looks like the same problem I have. My device is intended to replace a buzzard which still works ok. I don't believe there is a problem with coverage.

Hi @RobertGH

Thanks for coming to the community.

Is the SIM pay as you go or pay monthly?

Do you get an error message when you try and connect to the internet?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

It's pay monthly. It is an upgrade for my Buzzard  2 which works OK.

No error message - nothing.

Hi @RobertGH

Are you using the new or old SIM card in your new WiFi device?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

The new one

The old SIM is still in the Buzzard

Hi @RobertGH,

If your old SIM fits the new device, you can continue to use it. If the new device requires a different size, please activate the new one at myaccount.ee.co.uk/activate-sim.

Thanks

James

Thanks for the suggestion.

Problem is:

q1: Old sim lost or damaged? - Neither but it seems the SIM needs to be activated, or can I use the old one (currently in the Buzzard, I haven't looked to see what size) anyway?

Q2: Old phone lost or stolen? Not a phone and neither

Q3: Is SIM for brand new phone? Not a phone. The 'brand new' device is the MiniWifi router. When it then proposes to send a text message to the router I'm stumped.

Hi @RobertGH,

You can continue to use the old SIM if it fits.

If not, please select option three. You can retrieve the activation text from your Buzzard by visiting 192.168.1.1 in your web browser on a device connected to the Buzzard via WiFi.

Hope this helps.

James
