Unlocking an iPhone 7

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have just upgraded to am iPhone 11 and want to sell my iPhone 7 but it needs unlocking. 
Can someone guide me through the proces of how to do that ?

@Neil351  There’s a possibility it’s already unlocked.  You can check this by going to settings>general>about>network provider lock.  If it says “no Sim restrictions” then the device is already unlocked.       If it doesn’t you can make this request via you online account.  Please read more about that HERE

@Neil351 : Where did you yourself get this device itself originally? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or from a 3rd-party reseller or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different.
