Unlock code haant come through

Hi  I called up to unlock my old phone to give to my mother in law. They said it needed a manufacturer code and could take up to 10 days buy its been 13 and still no code. Is there a way for me to check the progress?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I had tried that, but when I went through the options it just kept telling me to check progress online. I eventually phoned and selected the wrong options until I got to speak to someone.
