UNLOCKING PHONE

My wife has been given an old EE phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace4) by her sister, who has upgraded to a new device.

It is locked to EE. What is the procedure for unlocking it. The EE website asks for account details, but we are not EE customers.

Thanks for coming to the community. 

The account holder can request for the device to be unlocked free of charge, alternatively your wife can submit an unlocking request by calling 0800 956 6000 (select option 2, then option 4) and paying a fee of £8.99.
