Transferring old number

Amandaaeliza

Hello!

Sorry in advance, but I am new to EE so unsure if this is the best place, still learning..

but I need to transfer my old number to this phone relatively quickly as I need to send the old phone back as a trade in and it’s not happened yet.

i filled the form in online on Saturday and then it said it was ok and I would receive confirmation but never did.

it’s now Tuesday and just wondering if there is anyway to speed this up or a number I can call?

EE needs to receive my new phone back by the 1st of Jan and I need the old number on this one.

thank you

Number transfers done over the weekend typically take two working days to transfer. Not sure if transfers from a current EE customer to a new sim are done more quickly.

I would expect the transfer to happen today, or at the latest tomorrow.

You can contact customer on 150 or 08000798586 from a none EE phone (landline for example) and they might be able to give you an update on the transfer.

Hi @Amandaaeliza and welcome to the EE community

Can you confirm what you mean by your old number?

Are you upgrading from one EE pay-monthly phone to another? Or are you moving to EE from another network and bringing your number with you?

You've mentioned filling an online form which makes me suspect you're porting in from another network, but there are different processes (and consequently different advice) depending what you're trying to do.

Thank you!

i called up today and the guy made sure it was done today so I can send the old one back.

thank you!
