The simpler way to pay as you go - get 10% off your pack

LAURA_MCW
Former EE Community Manager

Paying for pay as you go packs is easier than ever with direct card payments

How do I pay?

Paying for pay as you go packs is so simple.

There's no need to remember topping up to get your pack; you can set up direct card payments and your pack will renew automatically every 30 days. As a reward for setting up the simple way, we will give you a 10% discount off each pack.

You can also pay for add-ons with your card, so no need to worry if you don't have enough credit.

What are the benefits of paying like this?

Here are some of the main benefits of our simple way to pay:

  • 10% discount off any pack you buy
  • Buy 30-day packs and any add-ons easier and faster.
  • Enjoy peace of mind knowing you’ll get your pack every month and stay connected.
  • No need to worry about topping up.
  • Pay for add-ons with your card, so no need to worry if you have enough credit.
  • Control your spend with a set card payment each month.

How do I set up direct card payment for my pack?

If you already have a pack, all you need to do is go to your My EE account and set up a direct card payment.

If you don’t yet have a pack, you can buy one with your card quickly and easily through:

Where?

How?

My EE

Go to your My EE account, choose your pay as you go pack, choose to pay by card and follow the simple steps.

How do I manage/cancel my payments?

You can change or cancel your payments at any point and we will keep you informed about upcoming payments or if we need you to do anything.

You can cancel your current payment a couple of different ways:

Where?

How?

My EE

Your My EE account shows you how you are paying for a pack or add-on.

You can easily change the card used or switch back to paying by topping up by selecting Manage Payments.

Texting and calling 150

You can stop future payments for a pack by texting “STOP PACK” to 150 or by calling 150 and using the IVR menu.

This also cancels your pack.

I can't set up a recurring payment. When I enter my details it takes me to a summary page but then I click "Confirm" and it brings me back to the page to enter my card details. I get stuck in an endless loop. I tried two different cards and the same thing happened to both.

Hello @pm059

Welcome to the EE Community.

Have you tried a different browser?

The marketing of this offer for direct card payments is misleading. It's not 10% off any pack, it's only 10% off the new 2021 packs.

From the current card payment terms, version 2, dated 18 August 2021:

You will receive a 10% discount of the cost of the Pack when you pay through Card Payments. The 10% discount is only applicable to PAYG Mobile packs launched in or after 2021.

https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/terms-and-conditions/pay-as-you-go/card-payments

So here I was thinking my pack was only going to cost me £9 this month as I am already set up with direct card payments. The text made no mention of new 2021 packs or even terms and conditions. Not happy, can that £1 be refunded? I know it’s not much but i should have been told I needed to change my pack to get the discount.

My other question, I assume the ~25 boosts I have accumulated so far will carry over to the new 2021 pack? Don’t want to lose all that data!

@Celosia : Yes, your existing boosts will be retained if you move a new 2021 pack. However you will be limited to a further 6 boosts earned from the new pack.

@XRaySpeX why is that? The list of 2021 packs mentions getting a boost every other top-up, but I saw no mention of a limit on the number of boosts?
