Yes it's old - 2015 Lollipop- but father in law not used since then as couldn't get used to using Skype. Can't get into it.  Locked to EE. Anything I can do or isn't it worth the effort. Hopefully with another sim he can at least surf the net. But?? Thanks in advance Ray

@RayRay3  When you say you can’t get in to it exactly what do you mean ?    

 

  If the device was from EE it’ll be locked to the EE network but this can be unlocked to use any network. 

you can request it to be unlock but for it to be free your father in law needs to make the request as if you make the request it’ll cost £8.99.   Please read THIS.

@RayRay3 : Where did he himself get this device itself originally? Did he buy it himself new direct from EE or from a 3rd-party reseller or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different. Was it originally on contract or PAYG?
